New Year's Eve Taizé 2023

Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023 - 5:00 p.m.
Christ Church Cathedral, St. Louis

Please join us on Sunday, December 31, 2023, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. for a special New Year's Eve service in the style of Taizé at Christ Church Cathedral, 1210 Locust Street, St. Louis, Missouri.

The Taizé service blends scripture, silence, prayer, and contemplative chants.

FREE off-street lighted, secure parking is on the south side of the cathedral for your comfort.

We will conclude with a toast to the New Year.

The Gardens of Easter
Quiet Day

Saturday, May 21, 2022 - 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Mercy Conference and Retreat Center
2039 N. Geyer Rd., St. Louis, MO

Continue to celebrate the Easter season by spending some time visiting the sacred gardens of our salvation – The Garden of Eden, The Garden of Gethsemane, and The Garden of the Resurrection.  The Quiet Day will provide opportunities for meditations, reflection, prayer, and silence.   

The Quiet Day begins at 9:00 am and concludes with a celebration of Eucharist at 12:30 pm.  A Continental breakfast and light snacks will be provided during the time.  Bring a Bible, paper, pencil and yourself.  Join us for this quiet time and give yourself the gift of stillness…rest…and peace.   The Rev. Susan Skinner, an experienced retreat leader, will lead the meditations and guide the day.

The cost for the Quiet Day is $25.00.  Checks should be made payable to Confluence Spirituality and may be brought with you to the retreat.  Registrations must be received by May 5.

Discover the Peace and Power of Prayerful Pedaling

Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021
10:00 a.m. - Starting at Taco Bell Shelter
Creve Coeur Lake Park

A leisurely Community Bike Ride around Creve Coeur Lake led by the Rev. Jerre Birdsong & the Rev. Emily Hillquist Davis alternating spiritual readings with kinetic contemplation.

Ride length can vary from under 4 miles to 7 or 14 miles on paved trail.

ORIf you don’t feel like pedaling, you’re invited to stay at the Taco Bell Shelter where the Rev. Susie Skinner will lead meditations from 10-11 am.

Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.

If you wish to bicycle, you will need to bring your own bike and, due to Covid, snacks and water.

The shelter holds 50 people, so the event will take place, rain or shine.

After the Cycle and Center is over, ambitious cyclists may wish to continue their riding on the Katy Trail, which is accessible from Creve Coeur Park.

No New Year's Eve Taizé 2020

Due to COVID-19, the annual New Year's Eve Taizé sservice held at Christ Church Cathedral is cancelled in 2020. 

We pray your that your health and that of your family may be good during this historic time. And we pray for those who have died and for those who are suffering from the virus.
